I just wanted to drop a quick note and let everyone know we spent a couple hours this afternoon doing some minor housekeeping and making some minor improvements to the site. We are posting so many great gamer gifts and accessories that our categories and main site menus were getting pretty cluttered. We went through and organized our categories to make everything a little more visually appealing and user friendly.
Frequent visitors to the site will now notice the drop down menu for categories isn’t 9 miles long anymore. While still a little longer than I’d like it is probably half as long as it was yesterday. When a user has to scroll down 3/4 of the page to view all the options on a drop down menu it’s definitely time to clean things up.
We’ve also condensed things further by posting only our most popular categories under the “Top” categories heading. We also placed the option for users to view all categories on our “View All Categories” page. That page allows users to browse every category of video game gifts and our posts on one drop down menu. It even shows post/item counts! We also took things a step further and below the dropdown menu we have a fully expanded list showing all categories and hierarchies.
We have more changes to make but I think everyone will agree the site looks a little better and things should be organized much better than they previously were. If you have any comments or suggestions feel free to shoot us a comment below.
